Telehealth and School-Based Health Centers: Lessons and Best Practices from Early Adopters

Background: The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) recently announced a solicitation for applications for its Telehealth Network Grant Program. Proposals are expected to demonstrate the use of telehealth for expanding access to care, improving training of health care providers , and improving the quality of health information available to health care providers, and patients and their families. The application guidance encourages telehealth services delivered through rural school-based health centers (SBHCs), particularly those serving high-poverty populations.

Webinar: This is a great opportunity for SBHCs to expand access to their services and we strongly encourage you to apply . We’ve organized this webinar to provide guidance and answer questions as you work on your proposal. Leaders of programs will offer guidance and strategies for adapting telehealth technology in school settings to increase students’ access to medical and behavioral services.
