Important Update

Cancellation of the 2025 National School-Based Health Care Conference

Dear School-Based Health Partners,

I pray that you are well and safe in these difficult times. 🙏

It is with a heavy heart that I share some difficult news. Due to the severe and proposed budget cuts affecting our field, many organizations have imposed travel restrictions on their staff. As a result, many of our presenters and registrants cannot attend this year’s conference. Therefore, we have no choice but to cancel the 2025 National School-Based Health Care Conference, “Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future,” originally scheduled for June 30–July 2, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

I know how much this event means to all of us. It’s a time to come together, share knowledge, and strengthen the work that makes such a difference in the lives of students and families. While we are deeply disappointed, our commitment to you and the future of school-based health care remains steadfast. Your dedication, resilience, and passion continue to inspire us, and we are grateful for the life-changing impact you make every day.

These are difficult times. The children of this country are our most precious resource. They are the future. The unprecedented attacks on schools, healthcare, and food supplies are leaving the most vulnerable of our children, those from low-income families in particular peril. What we do together to serve these children makes a difference in their lives. We know that because we see it daily on their faces and in the data we collect. We matter because we care. Your partners at SBHA salute your dedication to service to those who need us the most.

As we navigate these challenges, we also embrace an important milestone—our 30th Anniversary. For thirty years, this movement has grown because of your advocacy, innovation, and unwavering belief that all children and adolescents deserve access to quality health care. We will continue celebrating this legacy and exploring new ways to support and connect with you.

Please stay engaged with us through our bi-weekly e-newsletter and website for updates, resources, and future opportunities to come together. While this may not be the path we envisioned, I have no doubt that our collective strength will continue to move this field forward.

Thank you for all that you do. We are proud to stand with you.

With gratitude,

Robert Boyd
