Joining the School-Based Health Alliance as an Administrative Assistant in 2019 was my first “adult job” right out of college. My current work as a Program Associate focuses on supporting various projects, primarily around oral health and youth development. My passions lie in health equity and youth development, fighting oppressive systems to ensure that all young people have access to quality healthcare and feel empowered to make decisions about their health.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a minor in Health Promotion from American University in 2019. When I am not working at the Alliance, I am involved with community organizing around local mutual aid efforts and wealth redistribution and sell pickles at the farmer’s market.
