Dave Taylor currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). During his twenty-year tenure, Dave has been responsible for the internal operations of NACHC and services delivery to health center members of the organization, which have a combined revenue approaching $20 billion and serve more than 28 million patients.
Dave has elevated the performance of a variety of organizations in such diverse fields as health care, financial services, government, international organizations, and associations. Prior to joining NACHC, Dave was the founder and principal of diverse health care organizations, where he started or developed several related businesses including: advanced medicinal delivery mechanisms, an innovative community health delivery model, and a workers’ compensation program. He has also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of HEW (predecessor to HHS); EVP of the Perpetual Savings Bank; President/Chief Executive of the Columbia-FreeState Health System; and President, Chief Executive, and Chief Quality Officer of the Preferred Health Network. He has also worked as a banking regulator and for the World Bank.
Dave is active in his local communities, where he has served as Director of Hospice of Northern Virginia, Co-chair of the Health Industry Group of the Greater Baltimore Committee, and as a member of the Development Policy Committee for the Washington Council of Governments. He has received the President of the United States Management Award twice.
