Healing-Centered Approaches to Addressing Adolescent Relationship Abuse and Human Trafficking for School-Based Health Centers Learning Collaborative

October 2022 – February 2023

The School-Based Health Alliance is excited to announce that we are partnering with Health Partners on IPV + Exploitation, led by Futures Without Violence, to offer a six-session learning collaborative for adolescent-serving school-based health centers (SBHCs) on Healing-Centered Approaches to Addressing Relationship Abuse and Human Trafficking! This learning collaborative is open to SBHCs sponsored by Health Center Programs and Look-Alikes interested in building their capacity to promote healthy relationships and prevent adolescent relationship abuse (ARA) and human trafficking (HT). The learning collaborative will meet every other Tuesday between October 4 and December 13, 2022. Following the biweekly meetings, participants will receive individualized technical assistance and support through February 2023. Continuing education credits will be offered.

Participating teams will receive support to:

  • Create meaningful partnerships with local community-based domestic violence programs for referrals and care coordination
  • Implement systems to support the implementation of CUES, an evidence-based prevention and response program for ARA and HT
  • Engage youth to conduct youth-led programming to promote healthy relationships
  • Strengthen collaboration with school staff to meet the needs of students
