Vaping and Adolescents: The New Public Health Crisis

The Monitoring the Future Survey (2019) revealed that rates of youth electronic cigarette use had doubled in the prior 2 years. Communities have seen severe medical complications with the use of this new nicotine delivery system.  As youth developed dependence to nicotine, health care providers and schools have struggled with how to address this public health crisis.  This webinar will review the different types of electronic cigarette products currently on the market; provide an overview of the medical complications, treatment modalities and school interventions when working with adolescents with nicotine use disorder.
