As refugees adapt to life in the United States, children need to succeed in school, make friends, and reach developmental milestones and adults need to find gainful employment, integrate into communities, and achieve a healthy quality of life. The initial domestic medical screening recommends vision screening for early detection and treatment of vision disorders.
