Description: This webinar will describe evidence-based strategies for reducing diabetes risk among elementary school-aged children, while highlighting the role that nurses can play in creating and sustaining those strategies. Speakers will discuss how health centers can spearhead partnerships with schools in their community in a variety of ways, including with school-based health centers. The webinar will highlight two multi-component strategies health centers and nurse leaders can adopt in partnership with schools, children, and families.
