Watch Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow’s Message to the 2015 Convention Attendees

Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow sent the following video message to attendees of the 2015 National School-Based Health Care Convention. School-Based Health Alliance President John Schlitt introduced the video during the leadership lunch session on June 17, 2015:

Senator Stabenow’s support was integral to ensuring $200 million was included in the Affordable Care Act for school-based health center (SBHC) construction and equipment. This was a great success, and for our next step, Senator Stabenow wants to work with our field to secure a dedicated source of federal funding for SBHC operations. In the video, she implores school-based health care practitioners to share their stories about how their work is making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents.

“When we work together, we can get things done… I know we can keep going and continue to have success if we work together and if we have loud advocacy from each and every one of you.” – Senator Debbie Stabenow

In February 2015, the School-Based Health Alliance awarded Senator Stabenow our lifetime National Champion for SBHCs Award.
