New Telehealth Grants Engage SBHCs

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded $16 million to improve access to quality health care for 60 rural communities in 32 states. Designed to help address the unique geographic and access challenges faced by rural and frontier communities, four grant programs will support telehealth initiatives, health care for veterans, research, and quality improvements.

More than $6 million will fund 21 organizations in the Telehealth Network Grant Program which will engage school-based health centers in the delivery of telehealth services. The three-year grants are designed to help build sustainable telehealth programs while improving the human, technical, and financial capacity in medically underserved areas to raise the quality of care and health information. The Alliance congratulates these grantees and looks forward to the evolution of telehealth services through their work in rural communities.
